We attended the City Council meeting on May 17th 2010 to speak on the administrative report the council had requested in April. The request had been made to address the municipal hub model of services as recommended in the Pascal report and specifically to address the availability of services in the west end, Glengarry and around extended hours for the Jefferson Centre. Council had also asked to get information on the plans for updates to the Work & Learn Program.
In a strange way, the government of Prime Minister Stephen Harper has provided an opportunity for progressive Christians to rally to a cause many may not have thought of as crucial for the survival of the theme Cultivating a Just Peace.
